FCC has two Chaplains who support the College in the following ways:
FCC is a Christian College passionate about nurturing Christian values in our students. We aim to create positive relationships with children making them feel safe, secure, and supported. All children are taught that they have the right to feel safe at all times, and children are treated with respect, consistency and fairness as they are supported to develop their skills and ability to self-regulate and interact with others.
In the early years, educators actively work with all children to support them in expressing their emotions and ideas, resolving conflict, and responding to the behaviour of others. We actively and positively role model and guide children’s behaviour. Staff communicate closely with parents and caregivers to ensure a close partnership as we all work towards the common goal of helping each child to become the best they can be.
We moved our children to Fremantle Christian College after we experienced bullying in our previous school that was not dealt with or acknowledged. Being at FCC has given our children back their confidence, good friendships, and the assurance that they can learn in a safe environment where teachers and even other students are looking out for them.
My son, attended the pre-kindy at FCC when he was 3 and it was one of the best things we did to prepare him for kindy the following year. The staff there are amazing. They have great insight when it comes to dealing with shy kids who might lack a little confidence. They showed great patience and compassion, using innovative ways to bring him out of his shell. Overall, it was a beautiful atmosphere where kids were free to create, play and learn.
Our children have been attending FCC since 2015. The College has grown exponentially since that time, and amidst the growth we’ve seen quality pastoral care and the pursuit of academic excellence remain key areas of focus. FCC staff have been approachable and responsive when we have had queries, and the strong community within the school (including the ‘FCC Dads’ group) has been a gift to our whole family.
Coming to school at FCC is super fun, exciting and an enriching experience. As a stay home Mum I had some concerns about leaving my child in the care of someone else. But I could not have asked for a more warm, safe, loving and caring environment for her to grow in to become everything God created her to be.
We began at FCC in 2018 when we arrived from interstate. We were immediately welcomed by teachers, students and families, many of which are now close friends and feel like family. We know that our children are nurtured, encouraged and loved by all of the teachers and staff, and we love that the foundation of every lesson is GOD.
When we made the decision to move our young man to Fremantle Christian College, it was an easy choice. We have come to know the staff as dedicated and passionate professionals who foster an environment where learning is expected yet each child is able to do so at their own level. Our young man enjoys the environment where Christian ideals are taught and encouraged, resulting in confidence, high moral standards, and a strong sense of community. We highly recommend FCC to any parent or carer.
