Message from the Principal

As a College, we believe education is far more than academic achievement. It is the preparation of young people for life. We are committed to partnering with families to shape young men and women of faith, character and courage, who are equipped to make a meaningful impact in their communities and the world beyond.

Our College exists to provide an excellent education within a Christ-centred environment. We hold high expectations for learning and behaviour, but equally value compassion, humility and service.

Whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, through the creative arts or within leadership opportunities, we aim to nurture the God-given potential of every student in our care.

We are deeply committed to ensuring every student is seen and known. This begins with knowing each child’s name, and continues through strong relationships with staff who genuinely care and take time to invest in the growth and wellbeing of each individual.

We see education as a journey that forms the whole child in heart, soul, mind and strength. Our goal is that each student would graduate not only with knowledge and skills, but with a strong sense of identity, purpose and hope.

I warmly invite you to explore our College, meet our community and discover what makes Fremantle Christian College a place where students can truly thrive.

Our History

Fremantle Christian College has a long and vibrant history that stretches back to 1903, when Hamilton Hill Primary School was established to ease enrolment pressures at nearby Coogee Primary School. A single classroom from that era remains on site; a landmark heritage-listed structure, recognised by the Cockburn Council.

After the closure of Hamilton Hill Primary, the site was revitalised in 1989 with the commencement of Southern Christian Academy. Several years later, the school was renamed Calvary Christian College (CCC), ushering in a new season of growth and purpose. In 2003, New Life Church, a thriving congregation in Fremantle, was invited to adopt CCC, leading to its rebranding as New Life Christian College. In line with the Board’s vision for a broader regional impact, the College was renamed Fremantle Christian College (FCC) in 2014.

The launch of the first cohort of Year 7 students in 2016 marked FCC’s expansion into Secondary education. Today the College delivers Christ-centred, quality education from Pre-Kindy to Year 12. Known for its strong pastoral care, deeply embedded Christian values, consistent and respectful approach to discipline, and close-knit community feel, FCC is a highly sought-after educational choice in the region.

The future of Fremantle Christian College is full of promise. We invite you to explore what we offer and discover whether our nurturing, values-based environment is the right fit for your child.
